EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen has hinted that the publisher has a few more big-name sports titles in the works.
Speaking at the Wedbush Technology Conference, as reported by Polygon, Jorgenson listed EA?s top assets.
?For us, the big opportunities continue to be the FIFA franchise, the Battlefield franchise and then the core sports [franchises] of Madden [NFL], NCAA [Football], NHL, adding NBA [Live] and possibly a couple of new sports franchises along that way,? he said.
?Clearly, that?s a big strength of the company and we want to continue that.?
An EA representative told Kotaku Jorgenson meant the UFC license, which EA acquired in June last year; the Fight Night team is handling the property now.
As for the other, he meant ?the ongoing evolution of [EA's] biggest sports titles into new markets and on new platforms like FIFA Online 3 in Korea, FIFA on mobile in Japan, Madden on mobile?, apparently.
Jorgenson also made a very brief mention of NBA Live, reiterating messaging that the publisher ?didn?t necessarily cancel? the franchise despite cancelling NBA Live 13.
